Court Proceedings Threatened/Mentioned

Had an outstanding parking fine from about 6 months ago, I've been back and forth to Scotland/dealing with family bearevement and issues so it's been left undealt with. It got passed to a debt recovery agency and now their solicitor has sent a letter giving opportunity to pay otherwise they have the right to commence court proceeding against me - no contact from my part has been made or acknowledge - any help would be greatly appreciated?

    Hello and Welcome.

    Which parking company?

    Which solicitor?

Did the alleged parking incident happen in England or Scotland?

    It is not a fine.

For whom are CST Law acting? Quite often they will be acting as debt collectors, not as solicitors. If you are unsure, show us a redacted copy of the letter from CST.

Please read the CST Law Group thread and see if/how your case compares.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Surely it's just the standard 'pay up in 14 days or else!' threatogram sent by DR Plus using CST Law notepaper?  Seen in every thread and ignored.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Do you live in Scotland?
  • Thank you, really appreciate your help - I've checked that thread & my letter seems to be slightly different - this is the first correspondence received from CST. and no I don't live in Scotland.
  • Debt collector letter. Continue to ignore.
  • CST LAW still pumping out the same old rubbish

DRP CANNOT INSTRUCT CST LAW only the parking company can

The CST LAW group thread is full of this rubbish'

SERIOUSLY YOU MUST IGNORE THIS RUBBISH
  • Thank you guys, appreciate your help a lot!
