New washing machine is in and working. Those delivery men don't half earn their money. I'm almost excited to use it so will get it going soon.

TA - a day of not cleaning windows is just perfect.

Ruby - good news about your wound, it won't be long before you're all healed up. I hope that Rob really is better.

Izzy  - my place is always cold, it's an old stone cottage without any insulation apart from in the loft. It won't be long before you're under the 100 days, that's exciting too.

Wicked Lady - an ingenious solution. Well done.

Coxy - it's always rather an anxious time when leaving a job for a new company.  You did so well to take the leap and change your career.

DP1 - that's such lovely news about your DD getting a new home, it'll make such a difference all round. And yes, the school pupils here are the ones travelling part of the way to school by boat.  They've still got a short bus trip afterwards but are really enjoying the RIB. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-67438057

Taff - you're also on the countdown, packing for a holiday always gives me butterflies in my stomach and collecting currency makes it all the more intense.

Now waiting for the cleaner, at least the JL men have gone as I had to move the glove box out of the hall and a wee table thing out of the corner of the living room to give them more room.  All's back in place now and I'm on my second coffee. The front door is open as there's no rain, the sky is grey but not as grey as yesterday.

Afternoon all,just finished my late lunch as I've had quite a busy morning shopping at Li dl, then the  range ( spent quite a while in there! ) and then crossed the road to MrA. I was looking for bits & pieces for the DGC, some for his birthday, some for Cmas.It's made me realise they really have grown out of childrens presents Anyway, pens, choc/sweets and a couple of books will have to do. I forgot the wrapping paper but might be able to get that tomorrow as I'm going to a long awaited lunch with a group of school friends ( last one pre covid) My best friend is picking me up, she lives further north and will quite often call for shopping at the retail park, we are going to an Italian place there.

My 2nd cousin J messaged last week, she'd been contacted by an American lady through the DNA thingy. I do know of this lady, recognise the name but have done little to my tree recently as I paused membership for a while. I realised it's over 12 months since I saw 2nd cuz, we used to get together with my closest cousin , but had to pause for her illness and didn't get going again so I've said I'll sort a meet up soon. Taff, I know you've had a get together with some DNA people, I find it interesting. The 1st time we met J, we were struck by how she reminded us of our late aunt

In MS news I got some reduced chops in MrA so that's tea sorted

Right better put this shopping away in case DGS calls after school- I don't have to go as DS is working on that side of town. Take care all x
