Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Back to work for me today although I'm really not feeling it, spent most of the night coughing, hoping I will be so tired tonight I will sleep!
Went for some Christmas shopping yesterday, the DGC are all done and I know what to get for everyone else so it won't take long to do the rest of it - need to wait for payday before I finish.
Hope your face is recovering well Ruby.
How are you Bella? It's not great looking after a little one when you're not feeling too good.
Well done to your DD on her new house dp1, the little one will be very excited.
Shame your cake didn't turn out too well WL, sounded nice too.
Glad your painter arrived Gers.
DW just finished doing it's thing, will empty it when I get home. Washing was dried by the stove when I went to bed so I have that to put away.
Take care. XX

Yesterday was surprisingly mild despite the greyness. I didn't need to light the woodburner at all. This morning the new washing machine is coming. 🎉 JL sent a text giving me a delivery window of between 8.30 and 10.30am. I imagine it'll be towards the later end as I'm over two hours from their depot. Anyway, I'm ready for them.My cleaner is also coming this morning so I need to do a little tidying of the coffee table where stuff seems to accumulate.Camelot - I hope that you really are well enough to go to work.11

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. A grey start here too with a bit of mizzly stuff forecast to linger most of the day.
I'm glad you can't see me as I am hiding upstairs, and away from the windows, with a colour on my hair. The skunk look was emerging again. I get fed up of doing it but not yet ready to look in the mirror and see my paternal gran looking back at me. She was drip white.
A going nowhere day today and lying in bed I was thinking of making a start cleaning the windows indoors. That now seems a foolish thought! We'll see if it happens.
Hope you are up to going back to school CAMELOT. RUBY I hope your procedure site recovers well. Happy new washer day GERS, Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones and MIA. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. Morning all
Pourimg with rain again, I’m getting fed up saying that 😬 and it feels very chilly here this morning I have a blanket over my knees, no main heating on yet but I don’t think we can hang out much longer !
Thank you all for the good wishes, I took the dressing off yesterday and was pleasantly surprised once I had cleaned the area you can hardly see where he has cut, once the stitches have dissolved I think it will just look like a wrinkle to match the other ones, it’s so clever what they can do !
Only Rob coming today as the other lady is off sick so we are going to meet a couple of friends and go bowling and then for lunch, it will be nice to see Rob after his time off.
Dinner tonight will be jacket potatoes with ham and cheese and baked beans for dd, and a salad nice easy dinner, OH cooked roast beef yesterday and it was really tasty he even made yorkshires which were very good for a first attempt.
Its mums Birthday today so I shall pop up and see her later.
Camelot take it easy at work (if that is possible ) hope you sleep tonight xxx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning everyone grey and damp here it’s mild here well not as cold Gers my house is cold we moved here just over two years ago and I love where i live and wouldn’t move but we have found such a difference my fire has been lit since the first of October and will be on everyday for months now big rooms and high ceilings it seems to take a couple of days of the fire been lit to start feeling the difference it seems as if it needs to warm the bones of the house it’s A rated for insulation and everything. Meeting my friend for a coffee this morning then back for a bowl of soup before work 102 days getting there . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11
-
Morning all. bit dull here but at least it's dry.
Izzy; keep your resolve and make sure you leave that job once those 102 days are up.
I think we've solved our heating problem downstairs by switching the radiator in the hall to the very lowest setting. That ensures the thermostat doesn't reach temperature too soon and the radiators in the living room remain on. Upstairs is absolutely fine but this autumn it's been rather cold downstairs and I don't want to start lighting the fire just yet.
Today I plan to push on with the Christmas cards and a bit of ironing. We have leftover slowcooker beef from yesterday so will do mashed potato and cabbage to go with it; easy dinner tonight.
Keep well everyone.

Morning all and thanks for the start @nmlc x
WFH today - my last week here eeek! Mildly terrified but also looking forward to a new challenge, if that's even possible. I had a Bay of E sale plus a V!nted sale yesterday. Both are packaged up ready to send at lunchtime. I also have to return an item to Em and Ess after work. Dinner will be SW Szechuan pork with noodles - so easy and tasty.
Great to hear about DD's new home @dp1 x
Shame about the cake @WickedLady4 especially after all that effort
Tick tock @IzzyBee - it'll soon be sub-100 days whoop!
Glad to hear the op went well @RedRuby1231 x
Hugs to all the poorlies, and wishing everyone a good day.

Morning everyone
I came on to post yesterday but was distracted by Amazon, looking for a book to go in my little nephew's Christmas present - eventually chosen and ordered. Yesterday was lovely and sunny in the afternoon so I had a walk along to Poundland and got some bits for stocking fillers. I still need some more so I'll make a trip to Home Bargains one day, it's moved out of town and is a bit of a trek to get to without a car.
I also spent the £20 I got for little ones pushchair on a new ( to us) box of Lego off Ebay - we needed more!
I sorted out the Christmas presents I've bought yesterday and I'm almost done - just need some bits for both my girls, eldest is easy as she always wants books, youngest is harder to buy for.
Gers I read on the BBC news about children going to school by boat and wondered whether that was where you lived - it was going to be a very long trip to school if they'd had to go by car. I bet they're really enjoying their boat trips.
Izzy - by the end of this weeks you'll be down to two figures! The time will go faster then.
Well I'm going to make a pan of soup, then it can finish off after work this afternoon. Hope everyone has a good day x11 -
Morning all. Considering it's quite un rainy I feel really stiff this morning. I have a list of works planned for the week to try and be organised because we'll be away next week which include shopping for the cat sitter and a freezer inventory so he knows what's here to eat ready. Today is freezers inventory, clear the area outside next to the goth box and fetch some free greenhouse staging. And order some euros and maybe check the insurance compairson websites, ours is up the beginning of January.Ruby, good to hear your face is doing well. Camelot, are you sure you're completely well? Nanny, he should be grateful for what he gets, at least that's what parents used to tell us when we were kids...Izzy, nearly under a hundred! that's just over three months...You'll be sipping margherita's by a pool in March
Rosy, glad your Greek night went well and your sil was able to come. Gers, I'd have probably given my best fountain pen for a ride on a boat to school.
always look on the bright side etc. Which you will able to do with your new washer
WL, maybe try clementine marmalade next time, it's really nice. TA, not sure, somewhere near, Chesterfield, Liverpool, Peterborough, round those areas plus a bit of Cheshire...And your hair? Just imagine the kinds of colours you could dye it if it were white! Tangerine, red, teal, unicorn ...:) Take care all, wrap up semi warm!

Morning all, we have some sun but it's still very windy. I was glad to see the back of Dad yesterday, sorry if that's harsh but he was quite argumentative about anything and everything.
Today will be a fluid day with nothing planned but there are some washed and dried clothes to put away and the DW to empty. I have some spag bol sauce which was taken out of the freezer by mistake, so that will be the basis for tea today.
Everyone seems to be doing well with their xmas presents, I have DD, DGD and Dad still to sort out and no food decided on yet, I'm way behind but I can't seem to get going. I have sorted DD's birthday present though, she'll be 40 ! It doesn't seem that long since she was a tiny little thing.
Izzy won't be long now and hopefully time will pass quickly for you.
Coxy exciting times ahead ! Hope everything goes well for you.
Camelot hope you are ok back at work today, please put your feet up when you get home.
WL glad you got your heating sorted.
Redruby glad your face is satisfactory.
TA I've given up trying to hide my grey and I'm going with it but DD doesn't think I'll like it and I'll soon be colouring ! Also my windows could do with a clean if you're available ?
Sorry if I've missed anyone.
Take care all, hugs to anyone in need.
