Switch Current Accounts

Hi All, I have been with my current Bank Citibank for 24 years and need to find a new current account. To use the Switch Guaranteed service, I have been informed the full name on my previous bank and new bank need to match. When I setup Citibank in 1999, I used my short first name, which isnt my birthname. My new current account is in my birthname based on providing passport evidence. Is there a way round this without having to change the first name on my current account with Citibank. Any advice would be welcome.
