Morning all, it's very wet underfoot and really windy.
I managed to get the bed changed yesterday with help from Mr Fix It although trying to put the duvet cover back on turned into a comedy sketch. I had trouble with the bedroom TV this morning as it wouldn't turn on after an update so I had to unplug it, then I plugged it back in and it's working now, strange. I rang Dad last night and asked him to lunch today, he wanted corned beef and chips but I'm cooking a roast lunch so he can please himself if he comes. We're only having a steak pie, roasties and veg anyway.
RedRuby I hope your face is ok today and not so sore.
Right I'd better get dressed.
Take care all, stay safe and dry today

The painter has finally been!
Nowhere near 2p.m. but then they work on Argyll Time. He'll do the work in three weeks time. Apart from the hall he's also going to do the now scabby front door which needs the hot gun on to burn through three layers of paint and one of very old varnish.
I finally got to the tip with all the cardboard and other recycling stuff which was in the car boot and then went for the tonic water. I rewarded myself by buying a delicious sausage roll from the woman who runs a tiny wee coffee 'shop' from a converted old horse box on the side of one of the canal locks on Saturdays and Sundays. Two weeks ago I went past too early for her and last week I went too late as she had sold out - today I timed it just right. So far, a good day at Gers towers.Ruby - good to hear that you're sleeping so much, it's the way the body heals.9 -
Afternoon all, been MIA after having trouble with my laptop, ended up having to do a factory reset- seems ok now but some of my passwords have disappeared or not been updated in my little book. Was busy yesterday as DB2 & SIL were due to come for a meal last night, although Dh did the bulk of the cooking, Greek night, went down well. We also sold the 2 bedside cabinets on M/place, lovely young man who was moving into his own place, and was very pleased with them
so that was nice
Very wet here, & no football here either Chrisca- both DGC games were off, it's never stopped today. I've taken some gammon and sausages out of the freezer for tea.
RR glad you are feeling slightly better now.Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)7 -
