I'll go with this post then!
The sun is out here so a bit more cheery this morning. We had a late night, getting back after midnight, so coming to gently this morning. I do have some washing in the machine though and might hang it out later.
The St Clements cake yesterday took a bit longer to cook, as I only had an 8" tin, instead of the recommended 9". I wasn't too keen on it and neither was DH so I doubt I'll make it again. It also made me feel a bit bloated afterwards so not sure I want to eat another piece.
The Christmas cards got started yesterday and I'll write a few more today, plus check through the grandson's stocking fillers to see if I need to buy anything else. After that it will be feet up to watch the rugby and read a bit more of my book.
Hope everyone has a relaxing Sunday.12 -
Sunny here, new fridge freezer has quietened down which is nice. Hoping to get down the allotment again but have also got a bike puncture which needs fixing first. A few chores to do as well.3000/6000 emergency fund

Despite this some friends insist on sending them.It was good to see the BBC news do a piece about the road closure here, I think that the school pupils being taken by sea are actually enjoying the trip. It beats a road journey anytime.Once I've done a few things here I'm going into town to buy tonic water, not good to have plenty of gin but little tonic. Not that I plan to drink anything tonight!

Gers, yes, annoying isn't it, when we both start. I should have done it when I first came downstairs. Hope your painter turns up.
Will you send some sun here Iris, the rain is never ending.
WL, pity about your cake, is there anyone who would take it off your hands?
Have a good day everyone

Morning all
Dry here for now but more rain due later, I had a very lazy day yesterday and spent the afternoon in bed, got up to find DD had cooked a lovely dinner and bought me some flowers and chocolates 😃 I went to bed at 10 and slept the night through so I must have needed the sleep.
Ive got to take my dressing off later they said to leave it on for 2 days so I will take it off around 4 ish then it’s had 48 hrs, I am interested to see what it looks like underneath.
Dinner today will be brisket with roasties and veg and my favourite Yorkshire puddings, they are my favourite part of the meal !DD working a late shift today so she will eat at work. I have stripped the beds this morning and got the bedding in the wm, OH will re make them later as I hate that job !
OH said he will also cook dinner but I do feel a lot better today so I will help a bit I think.
Have good days all and take care xx10
