Odeon seat and screen types

'Premier' seats just have a larger headrest. This may restrict the view if you are in subsequent rows behind Premier seats. They are also possibly in the best place in the cinema, but this is not necessarily the case. There is a flat £2 per person supplement for premier seating (e.g. £4 for adult/child combo tickets) on top of the underlying peak/off-peak/myodeon prices.

Recliner seats are a similar idea but carry a flat £2 or £4 supplement depending on cinema.

Plus seats are £1 extra for a supposedly better location for Premier and Recliner seats.

'Vip bed' seats are at the front and seat/sleep 1,2, or 3. They cost £9 for MyLimitless Members

Special screen types:
* Laser - just means laser projector. Screen may be small. No premium
* Isense - large screen, 4k projector, good sound. £3 supplement.
* Dolby Cinema - an upgraded version of Isense. £4 supplement.
* Imax - very similar to Isense. £5 supplement

Odeon's monthly subscription:

MyLimitless costs £14.99/month or £149/year. £17.99 for MyLimitless Plus and £179 for annual. Cheaper to buy annual subscriptions via Cinema Society at £143.82 and £179

Standard MyLimitless excludes all seat and screen supplements, extra £3 for Luxe cinemas, £5 for Islington. Leicester Square Royal Box excluded.
MyLimitless Plus supplements are: £3 for Dolby Cinema, £5 for Imax. Others (Plus, Premier, Recliner, Isense, included). Royal Box excluded. Islington £5.

Monday saver tickets

MyOdeon saver reduces the ticket price online either for ALL showings at given cinemas (which are then £5), or for Mondays and possibly certain other designated showings only, typically to £6.

Meerkat 2-4-1

Meerkat movies are 2-4-1 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays based on the applicable timing (e.g., off-peak for afternoon, peak for evening), based on:

1) MyOdeon pricing is excluded so you must pay the 'full price' at cinemas which run MyOdeon saver every day
2) All supplements apply for the second seat (i.e. where there is a choice of seats in the screen you must pay the supplement for +, Premier, optional recliner seats, isense, Dolby Cinema (except at Leicester Square))

You can get Meerkat benefits for £1.01 for a whole year with £3 cashback via Quidco using a 1 night UK travel insurance

Useful analysis - all of which tells me that much as I enjoy a trip to the cinema, its stays a treat not a regular activity.

Not sure why Southend is Cat 4 but Monday evenings are the most affordable. I'm just not keen on walking through the High Street in the evenings.
No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.
