Anyone use Microsoft Clipchamp video editor?
I have a few videos (mp4) and I'd like to extract stills from certain parts of them as jpegs.
I've downloaded Clipchamp but I can't see how to save bits as jpegs. Searching produces nothing, nor does 'help'.
Can this be done and how? Since downloading Clipchamp I've seen how this can be done using my laptops built in 'Photos' app but I'm still curious about doing it in Clipchamp.
Any ideas?

From what I’ve seen, Clipchamp just isn’t great for grabbing single frames. It’s more aimed at basic editing and exporting full videos, not quick stills, so you’re not missing anything obvious. I tried it once and gave up pretty fast for this exact reason.
For quick JPGs, the Windows Photos app or VLC works way better. VLC’s snapshot feature is simple and gives decent quality, and you don’t need extra setup. If you’re already comfortable with other media tools, those are usually faster than forcing Clipchamp to do something it wasn’t built for.
If you’re dealing with media conversions in general, I once ended up on https://www.movavi.com/audio-converter/. It’s more about converting formats, but it helped me understand what different tools are actually good at and which ones aren’t.1 -
Agree with @Etchergifts - I use PotPlayer and a frame grab is a simple CTRL-E0
