Facebook Password Reset Request

I got an email from Facebook saying "we received a request to reset your Facebook password".
I'd hadn't made a request so I was a bit suspicious and reset my password. (I didn't click on the link in the email. I went to the Facebook site). Several days after resetting my password, I got the same email again. Just wondered why that would be and if anyone else has had this?

Are you certain the emails are coming from Facebook. It's trivial to make an email look like it is coming from somewhere known when it fact it isn't.0

It'll just be a scam where they try to access random facebook accounts to do god knows what, you did the right thing, no point dwelling on it."You've been reading SOS when it's just your clock reading 5:05 "0

I get it regularly (every six months or so). I click the link in the email to say it wasn't me and carry on with my day.

I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing but thanks0 -
It's one of two things. Either someone who is technology averse is trying to log in and their email/phone number is similar to yours.
Or its a phishing attempt to discover your credentials.
You've done the right thing. Never click on these emails, always log in and check everything is okay/reset your password0 -
Thanks for all the replies. I don't feel so worried about it now0
