Morning all
Pouring with rain here and set in for the weekend so the washing has been hung on the airer.
The procedure went well yesterday even though the Dr did not want to do it as I had gone alone, they did not say to bring anyone with me but I persuaded him to go ahead as I have been through much worse and I am not the type to go wobbly, he removed a bit of skin off of my face about the size of a 10p and then stitched me up, the worst part for me was having a sheet thing over my face I hate not being able to see what’s going on and I had to fight the panic about being covered, I have to keep the dressing on for two days and the stitches are dissolvable, I am in a bit of pain this morning but that’s to be expected, I have to take it easy for a few days so perfect time to sit and watch some films.
I do have to re boil the piccalilli but that won’t take long. Dinner tonight is lamb steaks with roasted tomatoes and stuffed mushrooms and chips, OH or dd will cook.
I may go up for a nana nap this afternoon as I am already feeling wiped out.
Camelot and Bella hope you are both on the mend xx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -

Enjoy the break.Snoozer - poor Esben, I hope he forgets it soon and gets back to the beach.Chrisca - I can almost smell those muffins.Nan - I'm saving my winter PJs until at least December. No idea why, it's just what I do.My trip out was a waste of time. The pharmacy was closed until 11.30a.m. (unexpected circumstances), tip didn't open until 11.00a.m. and heavy rain started as soon as I reached town. I hadn't worn my raincoat. I'm now ensconced on my sofa. The new duvet set I ordered last week has arrived but it's going back. The yellow sunflower pattern on it was so vivid and bright in the online photo but in real life they are very insipid and faint, not attractive at all. I've now got a label to return it via Royal Mail so will do that sometime on Monday, depending when the new washing machine arrives.

Hello everyone
I've just had a read back of yesterday and todays posts but most of them have disappeared from my brain as soon as I read them!
Little one came home with me after school and had a sleepover. She had a lovely play with some bubbles she found in the kitchen drawer - Trixie the cat enjoyed them too! I didn't have the best sleep - I had to wake up at midnight to do her medication, then she woke up at 3 screaming cos she couldn't find her bunny in the dark, then 5ish and declared it was morning, then 7 with a loud 'it's seven zero zero!'
I think I'll be asleep early tonight!
We've been into town to the library this morning, the heavens opened just as we opened the front door which delighted little one as she needed to wear her wellies and take her umbrella - mind her umbrella is really quite amazing as it is yellow with little white flowers which change to pink and purple when they get rained on!
Had a good hour or so reading books and choosing some to bring home and doing some colouring. then as we were on the bus home DD rang to say she'd pick little one up earlier than usual as theyd been invited to go for lunch with friends. I'm going back into town soon to get my hair cut - I missed my last appointment so it's about 8 weeks so it looks awful.
Bella I watched that program about the Kings Guard - it was really interesting - there's no one in my family in the army but I always enjoy those type of programmes.
DD had good news yesterday - she's got a house in the village where little ones school is - just 2 minutes walk. It's social housing, so means she won't have to rent privately any more which is good and they're nice houses. It's where DD grew up as we lived there when the girls were little. She doesn't know when she'll be able to move in, but it's all signed for. We've been on tenterhooks all week as she knew when the bids ended on Monday that she was at number 1 for it, just needed to be told officially. Little one is very excited!
Right I' better go or I'll be missing this appointment too. It's looking like its going to pour down again x

@RedRuby1231 - so glad it went well. It can be scary when you can't see what is happening. I have to see my skin doctor every four months now. Always worried about skin cancer these days.6

Heavy rain here today but we had to make the eighty mile round trip to town (bridge on the usual road is down after the October storms). Flooding on the way back was starting to get bad so slow going. Sadly with the dying villages in Argyll thanks to second home owners it can take a while for infrastructure repairs
Mr Zaxdog's best bud came down so made a big dinner from local venison sausages, mustard mash and roasted carrots & parsnips.
Drew up our frugal plans for next year and a list for tomorrow that includes a leftovers lunch, a few hours of crochet and restarting my soap & candle stub jars6
