                    Hi,
My 15 year old just won't sleep at night in their cot. Two hours is the maximum we get (on a good night) and then they have to come into the big bed. They're inconsolable at night when they wake up and we've tried everything so we're looking at employing a sleep specialist. Has anyone used such a person and what were the results like?

            15 month old?
Might be worth searching for super nanny videos on line, and looking at the ones where she works with families with younger children who don't sleep. It's hard but seems to be effective.
And as another thought, since your child doesn't yet have much speech. Do check that they are not too hot in bed. For a lot of people, being overheated induces nightmares whether it's because they have a fever or too thick a duvet. Our body needs to cool down a bit to sleep well.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Try these? I'd been having sleep issues for several years following the ill-health of a family member which had a knock on effect with me. I did a half day session with them earlier this year and it pretty much sorted my problems out.
