hello, i have set up to use plum as a direct debit for the Barclays switch and the dd has been taken fine from my existing account, and my switch to barclays is due next week, but have seen some comments to suggest that plum will need to be set up again with barclays after it is switched?

Is that correct as i am intending on using it as one of the 2 dd's to avoid the £5 fee? i have it set up to do a weekly deposit from the donor account of £2, pulled via the direct debit mandateso will this not continue then after the dd is switched over? will i need to start over on plum and set up a new mandate for barclays?

Money box is the other one so hope that will just work as is as well?

    Where? A link?
Are you sure it was about DD,  not about Open Banking?

It was on the Facebook group for cash chats (the Andy Webb be clever with your cash one) and it seemed to be referring to the direct debit and not open banking

I asked the question on the Barclays switching thread, though it wasn't answered. I was concerned that without an OB link, the "brain" stuff wouldn't work. I intend to connect my Barclays account via OB as soon as my switch is complete, but will be relying on PayPal to generate a couple of DD pulls this month to get the £5 reward.
Plum was super quick to set up a new DD and do a first pull for me. Registered my donor account at the weekend, and the first pull was today.
Also, there is no way to avoid the £5 fee, which will be charged on the second working day of each month while you remain a member of Blue Rewards.
