Ebay playing silly games!

I keep getting messages from ebay saying:

ACTION NEEDED: Please update the information we requested

Your payouts are on hold until you update your account details. Please update by 30 Nov, 2023 to avoid further restrictions.

I click on the link to update my account details, and it takes me to a page showing my correct details, and with the instructions to:

1. Locate your drivers licence, passport or government-issued ID.
2. Enter your name below exactly as it appears on your ID

Looking at my details, they don't have my middle name (which I rarely use) and which is on my passport. Fair enough, they can have it if they want!

So, I fill it in and click save, and I get the message:

You haven't made any changes. Please review and fix the incorrect info on this page.

I have filled in the missing name numerous times, and they keep coming back to the same silly error message.

Any ideas, please? 

I'll add that we had a clearout, and we sold about £1000 worth of gear on ebay in the last year, but I can manage perfectly well without them. However, the last time I had a problem with ebay they sent me over 250 threatening emails! I'd prefer them not to embark on another harassment campaign, if possible.

No idea what they are doing these days.  I keep getting messages to update my personal details.

I have not moved and I have not changed my name so what is there to update???

In the end, I stuck my middle name in the first name field, and that seems to have helped. Just extremely poor programming, I think.
