You can reclaim the Income Related top up. However, unless you’re entitled to severe disability premium in your ESA it will be worth using a benefits calculator to check entitlement to UC. LCWRA for UC pays more than ESA Support Group providing the SDP isn’t included in the ESA. 

Please could you help a bit more with this. I was entitled to the severe disability premium with my income related ESA but this was stopped a couple of years ago following an inheritance.
Currently receive high rates of PIP for both mobility and care and ESA was reduced to contribution based only.
How can i tell if i can reclaim the severe disability premium please?

If you still live alone or are treated as living alone, no one claims either carers allowance or carers element of UC for looking after you then you will still be entitled to the SDP. If you claim UC then you will be worse off.
