Morning folks. Going by the forecast we are due sunny spells today and no rain. That's due back tomorrow!
Just a quick dust and vac this morning, then waiting for a phone call from the pharmacist at the surgery for my medication review. This is supposed to be annually but it feels more like every other week these days. I suppose it keeps him in a job. It's always a waste of time anyway. Once that's over I want to go down town as I have some meds to collect from Boots. Whilst in there I want to buy some One-for-All gift cards for all the gt nephews I buy for. (Got Disney Princess watches for the gt nieces last week) Then a quick detour into FarmFoods before the bus back up for some bags of frozen berries as my stocks are diminishing and I prefer theirs.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and poorly loved ones. COXY I hope your DDad responds well to the treatment. Enjoy your excursion SCARLET, safe travels. Take care one and all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Very early this morning the stars were all twinkling away beautifully which made me watch for ages. I'm always mesmerised by them.Yesterday's pool class was good, sad to say goodbye to our usual instructor but happy that the new manager will be leading it. My wet stuff was hung on the upstairs bannister for the meantime. I always feel good after the hour in the pool and the wonderful shower afterwards. Getting dressed afterwards is always a slight challenge still. Now I go wearing tights under my trousers but return wearing socks instead. 😀
This morning I'm expecting a call from my SIL in QLD along with an old friend in VIC then my youngest nephew, also in QLD, has planned a FaceTime call with me though last time he tried to get his four children together he failed. They are very active and quite feral (in a good'ish way). We'll see.Camelot - stay snug and keep pushing fluids. Xx9 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
Going away early this afternoon, to Cumbria, I know I said Yorkshire but it seems that I don't know my Cumbria from my Yorkshire, hey ho.
You're going to be busy today TA, thanks for the good wishes.
Hope everyone has a good day today, thinking of the poorly people, Coxy's dad, and anyone else who isn't well.
Take care folks.10 -
Morning and thanks for the start @nmlc x
Dry and crisp here. I need to pop out for some flat mushrooms later to go with our steak and chips tonight. Before anyone baulks at my extravagance(!) the steaks are from Aldi and very good value medallion steaks at £3.99 for two
The IT at work was playing up yesterday and I had two colleagues break down on a video call due to work stress. 6 days to go.....
Happy shopping @TravellingAbuela x
Safe travels @ScarletRibbons x
Glad that there's someone to take on the exercise class @Gers - nowt worse than putting on tights after swimming, so I too would go with socks!
Have a good day all,
Coxy

Just as I was getting dressed I glanced out my bedroom window to see this: such a joy to see them nibbling at my fence.12

Hi everyone,
Made it up to Yorkshire and we're very pleased with the way the new cleaner has left it. Glowing reviews in the visitors book as well so that's nice.
Don't know what we will do today except picking up some door handles Steve has ordered and replenishing supplies. Ziggy needs walking as well.
Have a good day.9 -
Morning all lovely DGS has given me his cold and i feel awful . Yesterday i spent the day at an aunts as my car had a service but today i shall be mainly under the duvet after i have taken DS to work i will wear a mask. Things are pottering along here the house could do with a tidy but it can wait we are supposed to be out with friends tomorrow at the tower of london for a light show and to see the crown jewels at night DH did suggest going to the xmas market at the south bank first but i am not sure i even feel up to going at the moment.
For all those interested in all things royal there is a new show on channel 5 that started last night at 9pm The Kings Guard DSIL was filmed for this earlier this year and should be on episode 3 maybe 2 there are only 3 episodes he is one of the instructors teaching the recruits how to ride in the Household Cavalry and there may even be a cameo of DD2 and DGS unless they have ended up on the cutting room floorwhen they went to watch a passing out parade
Gers The thought of getting dressed after swimming fills me with dread
TA Enjoy your shopping couldn't do mine for me could you ?
Scarlet Enjoy your trip wherever you are off to in the country x
Right better get on have a good day one and all stay safe warm and dry xxSlava Ukraini10 -
Hello all, it's raining again after a sunny start. We had a lovely tea time with DD and DGD yesterday and DD took all the leftovers home so I'll have to freezer dip for today's tea. We are hoping the new tyres are in and we can have them changed today. I have some tidying to do in the bedrooms especially the spare one which is fast becoming a parcel warehouse again.
Scarlet enjoy your trip away.
Coxy bet you can't wait to finish.
Bella and Camelot look after yourselves and get rid of those germs.
Snoozer glad the new cleaner has done a good job for you.
TA enjoy your town trip
Gers lovely view from your window.
taff are you off on another trip? Hope you have a great time.
Hugs to everyone and apologies to those I've missed out.
Take care all
nan xx
