Unknown Three account on file which nobody there can find or help with

I went to apply for some Interest Free credit on a purchase this week and it was declined to my surprise even though my rating is over 750 on Clearscore/Equifax with no missed payments on anything.
It turns out the credit supplier uses Transunion and when I checked on there (and on Experian) there is a H3G (Three) account in arrears that I have clue about. plus a weird this about it is that my name was wrong (first and surname the wrong way round) and my date of birth was out by one year. It was at my address though.
I rang and spoke to 2 advisers plus a further 2 on the Live chat thing via their site and nobody could locate this account from the details I had like my name, address, DOB, etc or by using the incorrect details that were shown on both Transunion and Experian. I don't have the account number or a phone number for the account as I have never had any correspondance or details, I would have thought they mught have written to me at some point seen as the address was actually correct.
All they said is that there are no accounts in arrears at my address or under my name or email address so they can't do anything about it. Plus the Three system is incredibly unhelpful where they have no number or email for fraud/corrections like some companies do.
I've logged complaints with the Credit reporting companies but they could take weeks to get back to me it says and then they'd have to launch an investigation.
Does anyone no of anything else I could do to get this matter cleared or speeded up please?
I find it weird an account that has an incorrect name and DOB that the supplier has no knowledge of can end up on my credit file? plus it isn't even mentioned on Equifax/Clearscore where an old Three account that is closed and settled (Three agree with this) is on there?

Ammendment: The rogue account is on my Equifax file but down as a "Suppressed Account" - does anyone know what this means?
