Smart Parking Fine - Uxbridge McDonalds

Hi MSE, Had a nightmare day, three fines in one day due to not realising how strict timeframes were in and around Heathrow. I went for a McDonalds while waiting for a drop off at Heathrow but apparently you can only park for an hour (madness) so had a fine from Smart Parking for £100. How should I appeal this?

    Welcome!

Same as on the newest thread you find when you search the forum for Smart Parking easy

You will find this sort of appeal:

As your Parking Charge Notice does not comply with the requirements of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (Schedule 4), you are, in law, unable to hold the registered keeper of the vehicle liable for the parking charge; I suggest therefore you contact the driver. As there is no legal requirement placed on the registered keeper to identify the driver, I will not be doing so.

You can't lose.  Just DON'T tick DRIVER!

Same goes for an APCOA one if you got one at the drop off at Heathrow.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

12 months since the poster visited MSE. Some take advice, but never tell us if it worked. However, the appeal wording above will work with Smart Parking, so use it. Make sure you don't tick 'Driver'.

Perhaps you'll let us know how you get on?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
