Currys repair and warranties

Hi all.
I purchased a Kenwood cooker back in the of July 2022. The main cooker failed at the begining of July 2023. I phoned and reported the fault and an an engineer was setup for a visit and repair of the fault; which after parts orderd he did.
Now, the same fault returned a couple of weeks back. I called to report the fault and said it was the same as previous, but was stopped and told it was no longer in warranty, therefor I would need to pay for repair.
I tried to explain that it was the same fault, so the orginal fault that was reported back in july should still come under warranty!
I was told that repairs only come with a 28 day warranty!!!
What is my best way forward here, I can't except that a brand new cooker should not last longer that 15 months!
Thanks

Warranties are in addition to your consumer rights and so can be as long and comprehensive or short and limited as the merchant/manufacturer wants.
When you reported the first issue, was that to Currys as the retailer or Kenwood as the "manufacturer"? Appreciate Kenwood is a Currys brand and the actual manufacturer of cookers isn't either.
Depending on the above you either report it as a first time issue under the Consumer Rights Act to Currys or, if they dealt with the first repair, then you could report it as a second time issue and exercise your right to reject the goods for a refund.
As you are over 6 months of ownership Currys can ask you to prove the fault (engineers report) and if they do refund then they can reduce settlement to reflect the use received to date.1
