Traffic cameras

Can anybody explain to me why we have so many cameras city bound towards Sandyknowles? I counted at least 15 over a distance of less than 2 miles .. there is one every 100 yards or so ... did Road Services get a buy-one-get-ten-free offer? Why so many?

Is there a bus lane there? If that would be what they are for.

I think there are a number covering the bus lane on the M1 citybound.

There is a new bus lane, but how does that explain why we need so many cameras? The road is straight, one camera could probably track the bus the whole way to the sandyknowles turn-off.

I think it's the same mentality as Spinal Tap in their rock-umentary with the amp that goes "all the way up to 11". If one camera is good then 15 must be really, really good.

Besides, the health service had a massive underspend this year so the money had to go somewhere!

No they cut services, shut cottage hospitals/minor injury units and replaced a well trained ambulance service with lots of private companies who put lives at risk and dont have proper Paramedics.

Oh, they also ask nurses to look after 10-20 patients at a time. Most with some form of dementia and they also do realy nasty things like wake elderly patients up at 2 in the morning to move them 200 miles because the bed is needed. Alot dont make it much past the journey because of the shock but because the Labour party targets are being met you wont her a bad word uttered on Dispatches or Tonight with Trev........

If only they knew 50 odd years ago what the grand kids they were fighting for would do to them in old age..........

Sure as long as they can catch those monsters doing 35 in a 30 thats the main thing, isnt it?

As in, if they monitor the traffic jams enough, traffic flow might improve?

they are bus lane cameras.. if you get caught driving in the bus lane.. expect a fine
