Bionic contract issue with our small business supply - right to cancel?

The exact same also happened to me, tied into 12 month contract with BG @ triple price I was paying & 30% more expensive than other offerings available at that time.
I progressed case with Ombudsman, I accept my error for not reading small print so not an issue over contract itself. Bionic said they had emailed me, I asked for copies, they did not provide, the Ombudsman confirmed they were satisfied these emails were sent.
The nature of my compliant was that the terms of the Bionic service was to provide the best possible tariff available, this was not the case, the Ombudsman said they didn't have access to historical rates which i found to be strange, I found these & provided to them but outcome of my complaint was not upheld as I signed up to service & was legally binding. I am in process of switching again, obviously not with Bionic or a company that ties in to further renewals. I calculate I've overpaid by approx £7k over last 12 months, if anyone finds a way to claim for miss sold energy i could perhaps progress please let me know.0 -
I've also had this happen with Bionic.
Singed up to a business electricity contract in 2022 for 3 years, commission for them was just under £300 and everything was explained really well, except the implementation of their Do It For You service.
Our contract was due to end 1st Jan 26, in March 25 I got an email saying I had to chose a renewal or they would do it for me, which they did as I was off sick at the time.
I've since been tied into a new 3 year contract with some fly by night electricity provider who I've never heard of, and when we got the documents sent to us the commission that Bionic earnt was almost £6k!!
I've tried to complain to Bionic but just keep getting their standard response that we have to go to the Ombudsman and they have given me a Deadlock Letter.
I have now instructed a specialist mis-selling solicitor to try and get this contract cancelled.
Apparently Bionic are already on their radar as they have received other complaints about this Do It For You service and the failure to disclose the higher commissions.
Lets see how I get on!2
