Hi everyone, I am a saver that loves being able to give different savings accounts nicknames so I can see how much money I've saved up in each 'pot'.

Tesco Bank, who I'm currently with, got rid of these a while ago and their interest rates are rubbish (1.25%), so I'm looking for a new bank that offers this feature, ideally with easy access savings accounts.

Does anyone know of/use any banks that still offer this?

Thanks!

My TSB  current accounts each give five saving pots, up to £5k in each which can be renamed easily. Interest rate is not good though.
  • Zopa allows up to 20 pots, but they are not chart topping. 4.54% instant EA and notice pots going up to 4.80%. In fact their ISA's offer better rates.

Chase and TSB offer multiple savings accounts / pots, too.

From what I can see, none of the accounts with pots offer market-leading rates.

You can also use your own spreadsheet to divvy up the savings from a single savings account. That way, you get access to the top rates, and still have your pots, if only virtual.

  • Nationwide allow you to rename their savings accounts, this includes their 8% regular saver (£200/mth max deposit).

    Saffron allow change of names.
Yorkshire allow change of names. However withdrawal is next day

Ford Money allows multiple pots (accounts), allowing you to name them, and to add a different funky little picture against each, should you wish.

  • I use Chase - multiple accounts and the interest rate ain't bad - currently 4.10% which is a lot better than most banks' instant access savings. Transfer from one pot (account) to another is instant too.

There's a difference between as an example Zola where the named pots are all part of one account, and say Santander where you can rename accounts but they are separate with their own account numbers.
  • You could set up a spreadsheet with your nicknames listed for each savings account, that way you can get the best rates too, or does that just zap the fun out of it?!
