Mrs gas meter and smartmeter

I received bed a new gas meter and smart meter some month ago.
But the gas meter does not work any more ,it does not show the
U sage since 23.9.23 nor Does the smartmeter.
I have contacted the provider but not a lot happens..
P!ease advice !

Make a formal complaint to the supplier about the lack of action.
what exactly how they said to you about what they are going to do?

Firstly, which bits exactly aren't working?

The smart meters are the things on the wall/in the cabinet - do they show anything?  You have to press a button on the gas meter to wake the screen up.

If it's the little display that shows the power being used, that's the in-home display (IHD) and while it's annoying for it to stop communicating, it's not a big problem because it doesn't affect how you are billed.

Who is your supplier?  Some of them have good apps that show the usage, if the smart meters are communicating with the supplier.  There are also third-party apps that can retrieve usage.  If none of them are showing anything (or only gas or only electricity) then one or both of the meters* have stopped communicating and you'll need to give manual readings to get accurate bills.

*Technically the communications hub on electricity meter is what communicates with the outside world and your IHD, and the gas meter communicates with the comms hub.  But you can just say the meters communicate, for that part, and we all know what you mean.
