Many thanks to the amazing OH, who managed after a number of online chat discussions with different assistants to get the following from them "You wanted to switch to us but you changed your mind and want to cancel the switch as it is still under the cooling off period. We are not the team that deals with this. It is sorted by our new connections team who can get the cancellation worked on for you. They can be reached at : 0800 027 9494."

Scottish Power (SP) have one of one their call centers local to me in Warrington (outsourced to TATA). They have a revolving door of staff who are poorly trained, find dealing with customers who have had to wait 30 minutes plus in  queue a challenge and then choose to move on in quick order to somewhere else where for a minimum wage job they can get less aggravation.  I think they have run out people locally that are prepared to work there!!
