Child benefit can anyone comment on this situation?

So my exe and I have been divorced for 2 years and separated for 3. During this time she only sees our daughter for 2 or 3 nights a week, typically 10 nights a month. Since the split she has continued to get the Child Benefit. I was ok with this as I was hoping that we'd move towards more of a 50/50 split with regards to co-parenting our daughter. It's seems now that that is not going to happen. I feel that perhaps it's me that should be getting the Child Benefit, however I do work full time, I don't really know my exes situation apart from her was, and is probably still claiming other benefits, she does live with a new partner and while I do have a girlfriend we don't live together. What would be the implications for my ex should I claim the Child Benefit myself? How would I go about doing so ? Thanks in advance

Probably the first thing you need to do is talk to your ex about it and see if she will relinquish the claim.
If she won’t, then I think you would have to put a claim in and let HMRC work out who to give it to.

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

The person who gets child benefit could well qualify for other benefits, this could be a big deal!
If it was just child benefit, it could be seen as ok for the other parent to receive some of the benefits, but the person receiving child benefit, may also get more in tax credits etc.
How are you working full time and caring for a child, perhaps your parents are helping? If you qualify for more tax credits because of the child benefit, you could work less.
