  • Good marketing from Aldi, have a unusual product (about 20 per store) and get free advertising.
    I daresay any limits are imposed by the scale of manufacturing rather than any desire not to make money. It was on C4 this week and looked utterly disgusting. I think the Aldi buyers made a serious commercial error in picking a product the consumer is likely to try once and abandon, as the alternative (individual Christmas pudding cheesecakes) would have sold in multiple packs.

    If by Xmas tree you mean a Norway Spruce, then the new-growth, light green tips have a lemony zingy taste, and are soft. I imagine pine is similar, but not tried it ;)
