Grandparent claiming carers allowance

Grandson has been awarded DLA, middle rate care, low rate mobility. Daughter and Grandson live with me and daughter and I share his care. Is it possible for me to claim Carers Allowance while she claims the Carers element on UC? I meet all the criteria for claiming carers allowance ( she doesn't as earning a little too much) but clearly do not wish my daughter to lose the carers element on UC. Googling this query hasn't helped one bit so really hoping someone can give me correct information here.

Two people can't claim financial support for caring for the same person.
If you care for the person with others
You cannot get Carer’s Allowance if you share the care of someone and the other carer is already claiming:
- Carer’s Allowance for that person
- the extra amount of Universal Credit for caring for someone who gets a disability-related benefit for that person
