Barclays - how do I open an account on the app?

Trying to do the current Barclays switching offer. It says the account has to be opened in the app. I have installed the app and the only option I have is to 'Register for the app'. No option to open a new account.

Tried various option but nothing offers me any way to open a new account.

In the late evening and the early hours, they seem to disable the function.  I tried the following day and there is another button "I'm new to Barclays" and this will allow you to open account.  There is already a thread about Barclays running with lots of information there.

Thank you. All good now. Was trying late at night hecne the issue

I have a similar issue. I have registered for the app but there's no option for 'Products' to open a new account. I have 'Products and Services' which has Loans, Money worries, Insurance, Ways to borrow and Barclaycard.
Am I missing something?!
