Car Insurance when license revoked on medical terms

Hi,
I’m just after some advice.
my OH has just had their license revoked due to a medical condition (which they haven’t been driving due to anyway) but they have advised we can reapply for license in 3 months.
we have two cars, one of which was bought recently and two separate insurance policies (was cheaper to do that than use multi car initially.)
as it’s hopefully only a temporary revoke until my OH health improves we want to keep both cars - we would consider selling one if things don’t improve.
im looking into whether it’ll be cheaper to have me as the policy holder on both cars via a multi car policy as presently the insurance on the new car is ridiculous - however having read online I’ve seen that a lot of places see this as “insurance fronting” - if and when my OH gets their licence back then we would transfer them back to the policy holder but at the minute I’m not sure how or where we stand with the insurance full stop as to whether my OH insurance is still valid presently due to having no license - obviously we still need insurance if the car is on the drive in case it was to get damaged or stolen (specially given with the high winds) - tried to get in touch with my OHs insurance today but couldn’t get through - and when I asked my provider they were less than helpful!
I just wondered if anyone had any idea or insight into this situation?
many thanks,
L x

Can you declare your wife's car as SORN and store it off road as that would be the cheapest and simplest option.0
