1. We keep food in outbuildings but we ensure its kept in metal cupboards or metal containers so that rodents & others can't get to it. 2. Poison traps are usually placed inside a garage or summer house so that they are not available for foxes or hedgehogs etc and are unlikely to affect larger animals.
We keep ours in garage in a large storage bag; unfortunately can't remember where purchased it, probably Amazon or garden furniture supplier, but it wasn't expensive
How big are the cushions? Maybe you could use the vacuum bags?
The mice will chew through a vacuum bag as easily as any other bag. What's the point of putting the cushions anywhere until the mice problem has been fixed ?
