HSBC Advance and Global Money £205 deal

I know Martin said you don't have to switch your current account with this one but I haven't been able to find anything in the HSBC T&Cs to verify this. In fact, one of the conditions I saw in the T&Cs was that you DO have to switch current accounts using the CASS. I've now completed all the steps Martin set out for qualifying for the full £205. He said the first £125 would be paid into your Advance account within 20 days. Does anyone out there have experience of this? Is it literally just a case of money appearing out of the blue or do you receive some sort of communication from HSBC leading up to it?

It doesn't reference any requirement for a CASS switch.
Based on past experience with HSBC, I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't any communication and the money just rocked up out of the blue. Conversely, if it doesn't turn up I'd expect you'll need to submit a complaint and chase it.2 -
Thanks for providing that link to the T&Cs, PRAISETHESUN. These are not the same as the ones I was looking at. I am now much more confident about getting the £205! ☺️ And shame on me for doubting Martin!0
