How quickly does EDF refund closing credits?

I have initiated a switch from EDF to Ocopus, and according to Octopus they should take over the supply on 15 November.
I calculate that at that point I should have a closing credit of over £120 and just wondered how efficient EDF tend to be in refunding these. Given it takes them six months from one bill to issue the next one, I'm hoping it's quicker than that
If it makes a difference, my EDF account has not been transferred to their new billing system as far as I'm aware.
Thanks in advance for any insights and experiences.

I can't say how long the WILL take, but they have up to 6 weeks to issue the final bill, then 10 days after that to refund you the credit - if they miss either of the deadlines then you're entitled to an automatic £30 payment.I'm not an early bird or a night owl; I’m some form of permanently exhausted pigeon.2

EDF will have to wait until they get the closing reading from octopus which can take few weeks then once final bill produced should be done within a few days1

Thank you for the above. Very useful to know.0

When both myself and my daughter left EDF, at different times, we received final bills within 2 days. We were in debit though so an incentive for them.

Thanks for the replies. Just to update, in case it helps anyone else, my supply transferred on 15 Nov, bill received 19 Nov, refund in my bank today, 22 Nov.
Quite impressed.3
