Taff, we were in Bath last week - there are a few chain restaurants under the train station, but we ate in a Greene King pub (meal and soft drink £10 between 12 &3pm). It was up from the Abbey and Baths and turn left on the next road - you’d see it on the right hand side. It was reasonable but I won’t recommend the white wine that they served.
We travelled from the Bristol end so just used the park & ride (although there is a multi storey near the station if you fancied it and your car is compliant).9 -

Hi all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
Didn’t manage to get on yesterday as took Mum out for lunch to a local farm shop. The place was heaving and we had a long wait for food, but when it did arrive it was delicious. Popped in to see DSis and BIL on the way home. Nephew’s footie team lost (again) so he was a bit grumpy!
So exciting that it’s not long until your trip @ScarletRibbons
Feel better soon @camelot1001 x
Glad that your wall clock has been returned safe and sound @Gers great service. Any sign of the painter today?
Hope you and DD enjoyed the Brighton trip @RedRuby1231. We went to the Christmas market the past two years as DD was at uni there but we will go to Canterbury instead this year as DS1 is down there. I’m looking forward to a mulled wine and mince pie – saving myself until end of November before my first one! Hope Rob feels better soon x
Glad you’ve sorted the gift purchases @TravellingAbuela – I have a stash under my bed that need sorting out!
Hope your car is returned today @-taff, fingers crossed.
DH is cooking a chicken curry tonight which I’m very much looking forward to mmmm Oh and DD has an interview to join the Police graduate scheme. She’s firming up the date today as there are several options available.
Have a good day all and hugs to the poorlies amongst us.

No, no painter but I don't expect to hear from him during his working hours. My very old washing machine gave up the ghost this morning, it owes me nothing so I've ordered a new one which is coming next Monday. I managed to open the door to retrieve the dry unwashed stuff and open the drain. The delivery team will remove the old one and install the new.I'm fairly excited as this new machine (which will be energy efficient - new A rating) has a facility to add things in at certain points during the cycle. Only last week I forgot to put a bunch of things which had been soaking first.Bella - I hope that you can catch up with sleep tonight and that DGS is feeling better. And you too Camelot.I don't buy many Christmas presents anymore. Family too old and too far away and with friends I mostly buy and give them things during the year as I'm not too keen on Christmas. Late DM was but it always seems a lot of fuss for a couple of days. Not really a Grinch, honest. I've paid for all the children of my late brother to meet up twice now and another lot are going over to QLD at Easter on my dime, they appreciate that more than a gift in December - I hope!9
