Hi Folks,
I was issued a CCJ claim notification back in April this year for parking in a Blue Badge Bay in a free car park in 2018.
I did not know about this ticket but they had photos of my then vehicle and my badge that had slipped to the bottom of the dashboard where the year of expiry had become obstructed by the screen.
So I came to this website and proceeded to fight this claim.
I got to the point where I was waiting for a questionnaire to arrive to explain my defence.
In July this year I was called for surgery. Unfortunately it did not go to plan and I have been fighting infections and complications since and have had multiple stays in hospital.

Needless to say I had forgotten all about my fight against the above CCJ claim and do not recall any post with said questionnaire.
Fast forward to beginning of November where I have received a notice from Northampton Business Centre saying I have been ordered to pay £316.01 which I presume is a CCJ.
I have gone to DCB Legals website and input my details to make payment but the outstanding amount on there says £282.
I believe I can stop this affecting my credit file but if I pay the £282 will this leave an amount outstanding?
How do I then obtain proof of payment for the court?
Also I presume I have no other option left other than to pay the CCJ to ensure my near perfect credit file is not affected
Thanks for any help

Pay the £282 online now, then send them a cheque for the balance next week with a copy of the Order and a screenshot printout of the £282 being paid online. Do not post this letter in a postbox and DON'T send it signed-for. Take it to a Post Office and get a free certificate proof of posting (a little receipt) and keep it.
I would like to have said you could ask for the latest Order to be set aside but it then risks a CCJ again and if the court refuses, you really are stuck.
I am assuming that you are still within 30 days of the Order.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you for the response.
Yes the CCJ was dated the 7th November.I was going to pay £282 online but I cannot pay the remaining balance by cheque as my bank account has never sent me a cheque book.
Would you advise against phoning them to pay the full balance?
Is my research right that I will need to fill out a N443 form and send it to Northampton Business Centre to cancel the CCJ do you know?0 -

I sense your frustration ☺️
I have no idea what the Post Office does for people who don’t have cheque books…I’ve never really used a post office believe it or not0 -
They have postal orders which can be used instead of cheques.1
