Vodafone going to provide a full-fibre line to the house. But will I then be tied to them?

Thanks all.I can confirm the installation will be carried out by Openreach, on behalf of Vodafone. Dues early Jan.I'm happy with this, as OR will cover most ISPs, and in the extremely unlikely event I'd wish to go with, say, Virgin, then another line it'll be.Cheers0

Hey, how did you get on with installation? Just ordered Vodaphone Full Fibre 500, I'm a bit concerned about how much work will be needed to supply to the actual property. Can't see a logical way to supply without making a new channel to the property.

Hi Tony. All went fine, as they took it overhead as a direct replacement for the old telephone line.I gave the guy a hand as it had to clear our garage roof and go through a tree! All working fine. How does your current telephone line get to you? If there's a post serving a few properties, then fair chance they'll just continue to use that. But, you won't know until you ask - or they turn up!The only issue I had was porting my landline number from TalkTalk, even after Voda promised it wouldn't be an issue. It took an astonishing amount of effort, inc official complaints, before they sorted it - which they could have done in an instant, from the off.If you have any comms with them - 'chats' etc - then make sure you screenshot it :-)0
