Paylink

What is it? If you agree to let it have access to your bank account can it see all transactions and to whom? Can it see your standing orders and direct debits? Can it see linked credit card/savings accounts? How far back in your bank records can it go? Does it have any impact or is it recorded in your credit history? How do you cancel its access? I've searched on google but there doesn't seem to be much information of any detail about it.

I don't know what's 'Paylink', but if it uses Open Banking, see https://www.openbanking.org.uk/why-open-banking-is-safe/>> When I share my banking data via open banking, what information will companies be able to see?

PayLink seems to be a company, one of whose offerings is Embark, a financial planning tool, which seems to be used by other organisations such as Eon to access data via Open Banking - what's the context here, i.e. how have you been made aware of it in the first place?

I believe these are the answers, but the Eon site doesn't give much away without registering!starving_artist said:What is it? As above

Thanks! I'm a bit taken aback that it is so intrusive. I'm surprised there's not more discussion about it. Their website is very much about the advantages for the client company.eskbanker said:

The client company is expected to explain its use to the end customer, and Eon makes it clear that it's "Our affordability tool to build an accurate picture of your income & expenditure" - nobody is forced to use it though!starving_artist said:
