It's all set out clearly on GOV UK:

Your first payment

Your first payment will be within 5 weeks of reaching State Pension age. You’ll get a full payment every 4 weeks after that.

You might get part of a payment before your first full payment. The letter will tell you what to expect.

If no letter has been received by about 2 weeks after your birthday the advice given to me was to call and check everything is in order.

My birthday also landed exactly on the day my SP would be paid. Got one days SP on my birthday and in my case every 2 weeks after that.

When I rang about 10 days ago they said couldn't find my on line form despite the fact they had sent an acknowledgement same day which also said don't reply if we need any further info we will contact you. 

When you phoned you pointed this out?

And the rule is a little hidden, but state pension can be paid weekly as well, was made aware of this, so just took a phone call to get it changed to weekly, same amount of money overall, but I prefer to see money coming in every week, and it does help to budget.
