Hi,
I'm in the market for a new laptop. I need it for everyday use alongside the some gaming, mostly The Sims 3 & 4. I've seen the minimum specs but have read that the Sims runs better on a higher than minimum spec. I have a basic understanding of laptops but would really appreciate some advice please. Any suggestions on laptops out there or any black friday deals would be most welcome.
Thank you in advance 😊.

Something with Windows 11, Intel i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 and 16Gb RAM, and 512Gb SSD drive would be my recommended spec.
Should then be future proof for the lifespan of the laptop.0 -
What about graphics cards? I can't work out which ones would be ok as there's so many.0

Agree with 400ixl's comment above.
Pretty much any dedicated graphics card will improve SIMS performance but when looking at laptops, prices will start to rise quite quickly.
My youngest has an RX580 in their desktop and it runs SIMS flawlessly. The card is a few years old and relatively 'cheap' in terms of graphics cards.
Having said that, we are beginning to consider upgrading to a 3060 for other more demanding games that they play.1 -
Do you need a dedicated graphics card for sims? Or are the cpus with onboard graphics sufficient? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
