Morning all. We had a frost last night but the sun is shining again now and the cars are defrosting.
Made it up to MK and ordered a new dishwasher yesterday. It won't come until later in the month, as we weren't free on the first delivery date offered, but never mind. Also had a scone and coffee whilst out and could see the big Christmas decorations going up for the display.
We are still trying to use up food in the garage freezer so today I've defrosted the last of the chicken thighs and will make tarragon chicken for tonight. Have bought some pastry as I'm useless at making it so might do something with that later on.
Have a good weekend all.9 -
Afternoon. I have done a big fat nothing today. I discovered I have somehow lost 30 odd stitches on the blanket I was making so now that's stopped to use as some kind of throw thing on the bed or something. Bit disappointed but it's another lesson learned that when you go freestyle, count the stitches...Made another two Christmas cakes yesterday, just got two left to do, including my sisters no mixed peel or nuts one. Didn't get my car back, will have it Monday so we have to catch a bus tonight to go and see Rich Hall. Looking forward to that. And OH has finally made his mind up about having a party for his 50th and my 55th so next week wil be making the garden look less allotmenty. I think a bbq pork stew and cheesy mash will be the food, or a beef stew and mash. With mulled cider. I've got bowls left over from last year and cups so that's prepared in advance
Mind you, with three packets of hash browns I could just do a hash mash...No plans for tomorrow either beyond find something for dinner. The only thing I might do beyond changing now is lay the fire for when we get home.
As for christmas shopping, A few friends have set a £15 limit so it's time ot get creative with the search for free stuff..I do like a challenge. However, my sister continues to confound me so more thinking cap needed there. Take care all, get the throws and candles out...Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi7 -
Finally got on been cleaning top to bottom as DD2 DGS and DSIL are descending tomorrow so a leg of lamb out the freezer but obviously just grabbing it and pulling it out means that the whole chest freezer looks like jenga with no extra room but it was too cold to hang around
Tomorrow will be cooking and entertaining
Every year we have lots of lovely pop up xmas markets but we always seem to be doing something this year its the hot tub house but next year i will make an effort
Dinner tonight beef rags with parpadelle
Have a good evening xxSlava Ukraini5
