How does it compare to the other quotes you’ve received? That will give you a sense.

Go find some local independent installers, and avoid the ones that use salesmen on commission. And if they have a showroom, that will be another sign that prices will be higher.
£11K sounds way too high.... Without knowing the sizes, I would expect something in the £6-8K range.

    Very big windows ?

    Wood I presume

Have you checked they have lintels to the exterior leaf ?

Plastic windows will definitely require them

Thanks for the replies , old windows are PVC ( 30 years old ) so a straight replace

7 of the windows are approx. 7ft by 4ft

Got another local quote at around same price 11k

Guess everything gone up a lot at the moment

both of the 11k quotes  are local firms with no salesman on commission or showrooms

Went back and re-read your initial post - I missed the 6 windows upstairs....
11 windows in total, three doors, plus a patio door - £11K isn't too bad. Expensive, yes, but as you point out, prices have gone up.

Last year we had our 1930s 3 bed semi (so also big windows) replaced. That was 9 windows, one back door, aluminium bifolds and a pvc front porch done for £16k and this was in London. We got 4 quotes all around the same.
