Morning all
Scarlet I hope you start to feel better soon xx
Bella that’s awful ! I hate thieves they just think they can take what they want xx
DD and I are off for out jaunt today 😃 we have booked a hotel on the sea front in Brighton so will go there first and drop out stuff off, then onto the shops with a few wine stops along the way, we plan to have suchi for lunch and then tonight we have booked a table at a really lovely tapas place that has been there for around 40 years and is delicious and always packed, tomorrow we will get up and have breakfast before a bit more shopping and then home, I am very much looking forward to it.
OH will be here and dog sitting I think he is planning on getting himself a curry tonight.
I need to have a quick tidy through and pack a small bag.
Have good days all and take care xx8 -
Hi everyone,
Coxy, I'm glad you got that sorted out but it's awful that not every employer would be as human,
Bella, what a shock for you, I hope they find them.
Scarlet, I hope the antibiotics work quickly.
I managed to sort the craft shelves yesterday, as ever a task I'd been dreading turned out not to be as bad as I'd built it up to be.
Things are getting there slowly, by the time the family get back the house should be ship-shape, just in time for whirlwind Esben to strike (not to mention the parents). I've got Aquacise this morning, as usual I'm having to exercise my willpower to make myself go, I know I'll feel better for it but I don't feel any enthusiasm for it.
On a more positive note we are going to the zoo this weekend with Chris, Crystal and Nate and they will spend the night with us tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to it.
Have a good day.8 -
Morning everyone
Nice blue skies and sunshine here, I bet its cold though.
Our biscuits turned out lovely yesterday, the children loved making them - they all took a bag home with enough in for their family.
Little one was shattered when she came out of school and complaining her head was sore, so DD has kept her off today. If she's ok later they'll pick me up from work and she'll come to mine for a sleepover.
Eldest DD sent me videos last night - she'd been to her pole class and then had a lesson in something called aerial silks. Long strips of material were hanging from the ceiling and she was sort of using them to dance instead of a pole! I did ask if she was planning to join a circus!
Better get a shift on, I need to go down and do dads banking - he'll grumble as he gets money on 3 weeks of the month, pensions etc but this is the week he doesn't...obviously it's my fault!
Have a good day everyone x

Scarlett I hope you feel better soon, lots of fluid to flush it out. 💖
I'm sorry about the bike bella, I'm hoping the theives will get their comeuppance.
Chilly here this morning, but not too bad.
I'm just hoping for a break in the rain as I want to go to the local food waste share today. Don't really want to queue in the rain.
I've got 4 loaves on their second rise. Will throw 3 in the freezer.
Payday today, so need to get all that figured out. Bill money and whatnot.
Getting nowhere with the knitting for DS2's hat. I really need to get on.
No idea whats for dinner either.
It looks like it'll be one of them days. 🤣January 2025 GC 🥕 £144.61 / £400

Morning...I had a baking day in the end yesterday, two christmas cakes, a chicken and bacon pie, roasted pumpkin [from the garden] and usually I'm not a huge fan but this one was really nice, it was a kuri type one, OH knocked the bobble off the end so I had to cook it before it started going bad. I think I'll grow more of those next year. And a banana cake. I did roast the seeds too but theyre not especially nice, I'll see if I can crisp them up a bit more after. I have a blood letting today and I'll see if they can add in the one from the heart bloke to save me going up the hospital. The new tablets seem to be working well, not having hardly any palpitations now but it does seem to be interacting with the tamoxifen, my joints are awful. It has also mostly stopped raining..So todays jobs are more christmas cakes, wrap up the ones from yesterday and feed them, and hopefully pick up my car, he didn't phone yesterday...Need to do another freezer inventory, thnks to me forgetting to take some stuff with me at the weekend, I now have four bags of hash browns and more chicken than usual [and a lot of cheese]...luckily it's colder so I can arrange everything without having to keep slamming the door and lid shut every two minutes...Coxy, I am glad they are ok with you going. Scarlet, oh dear...hope they start working soon. camelot, glad your work outing was somewhere like that...
Gers, your area sounds like a lovely place and look sbeautiful but I'm not sure I could stand the cold anymore...you could be in the SAS for toughness...bella, what a shock and a massive pain. Izzy is right though, they'll take it whether you're there or not so better to not be there really. Can you put something there the potential next one can be chained to? Or a hoop in the floor? Izzy, enjoy your meet up! Rosy, how lovely that someone has been proactive and not waited for a mythical them to fix something. Hope your OH is OK with the walking today, that place is huge...Wl, happy new Magic Cupboard day
Ruby, enjoy your weekend away! snoozer, enjoy your more family weekend too! dp1, funny, when I think of stings hanging I see the shiny metal ones they use to keep pigeons away
mmb, I can never get my head round the timings needed for baking bread and the rising and the time in between...I am in awe... [and snoozers cinnamon buns] Right, I'm orf to put clothes on and do stuff...maybe after breakfast though...Have a good one folks...

Bella, sorry to read about the bike. My first ex-husband had his Kawasaki stolen from inside a locked garage but the guy next door had his Honda chained to a ring cemented to the floor so his was left.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Thank you all for the best wishes an update from the police case closed less than 24hrs after reporting in all honesty we dont want the bike back as they will have had to damage it to get it started with no keys and doubtless driven it till it explodes and we could end up with the bike back and it costing us more than a nearly new one with no insurance money . The bike is left on the drive for a few hours as DH does a key holder job as well as his main job and when he returns its put in the garage behind a roller shutter door and 2 locked metal gates .
Floss I am thinking of this for whilst its on the front for those few hrs x
I have been to Halfords and bought the lock for my car and we are stepping up our routine regarding our home security in all honesty i am still angry and a bit scared after getting the lock i just wanted to come home and lock myself in i know its irrational but hopefully i can move on soon.
Thank you all once againSlava Ukraini8 -
Bella
Sorry to hear about your sons bike, it makes me so cross. Do people not realise that he would have worked hard to get the bike in the first place
We are back from shopping and a visit to GP to try and sort out my online account for the surgery. Waiting for a call at 3 to try to sort.
Need to ring registry office in Kent as still no news re an appointment for DMIL certificate.

@-taff - How about saving the seeds for planting instead of for eating.
Bella, understand your feelings. In the early 1970's, someone broke into my apartment and stole my tv guide and my roommate's tv, which wasn't even working. We were watching mine which was a big black and white tv the thief obviously wasn't interested in. We do know they went through our closets as things were moved. Several pieces of her jewelry were stolen too. My jewelry was in a shoe box labeled cat toys. The thief missed that box. Just knowing someone has taken something of yours or even been in your home space is upsetting. It took me a long time to recover from it. My father came and changed the door lock (with the manager's permission). The manager then went out and bought new locks for all of the doors in the building and arranged for my father to put them on for a discount on our rent (all twenty apartments). She had suddenly realized that at the first week of each month she had all of our rents in her apartment - we paid in cash back then. And her lock was the same as the one broken into.
