You can leave your LGPS deferred in the Scheme if you leave and it will revalue in deferment and once it comes into payment.

Thanks so if I transfer in and leave before the 2 year make. I will become a deferred member of the lgps?

Value of stocks roughly double every 10 years.
That's not exactly true. Here's a chart of the FTSE100 from 1984 to 2015. Today it's worth about 7700, only 10% up in the eght years since 2000.

And I have 30 years till retirement. So could be worth 45k
Do you think today is like 1984, and the FTSE will rise six-fold in the next 15 years? Or is today like 2000, and we're going to see a 10% rise in the next 23 years?
    Essentially, do you feel lucky?
Thanks it's the sp500 that has doubled every 10 years. Doubling an investment in 7.2 years with compound interest. With 32 years till retirement age I could get 4 doubles on the 14k. Taking it to 224k. Which would buy an annuity better then the lgps fund. I really don't no which way to go I have signed the form out in a stamped envelope but since worked this out not sure

You might get doubling, or you might get some significant dips. No one is denying that you 'could' make more investing in 100% equities - but it could also be a rollercoaster of a ride. LGPS is a guaranteed income, for life, according to a set of rules which are clearly laid out.
With the stock market past performance is not a guarantee of future performance.
