COL in a care home

I notified DWP that my mum was now in a care home.
They sent her a letter, addressed to the care home, saying she will get the COL payment. She is still receiving pension credit and Attendance allowance but Im not sure if its a mistake or not?  I guess its the same if someone was renting and had bills included?

If she's in receipt of the qualifying benefits then she's eligible for the relevant payments.

Or more specifically, if she was in receipt of the benefits on the qualifying dates of the respective payments, then she's eligible.

If she is not self funding then AA should end.

She will be self funding when the house sells, Council contributing until then.  I guess she wont be eligible for Pension credit when the house sells as it will be classed as 'savings', but will quickly go down at £1100 per week!.  AA was stopped then its started again.
