I predict they will discontinue.0 -

Hi all,
I have received a letter from CEL with an offer for me to pay them £70 and they will closed the matter down. Is this a usual tactic?0 -
Yep. Ignore it or say no.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi all,
I have a question. On my notice of trial date, it detailed the following:
Unless the claimant does by 4.00pm on the 6th March pay to the courts the trial fee if £27.00 or file a properly completed application (IE one which a provides all the required information in the manner requested) for help with fees, then the claim will be struck out with effect from 6th March without further order and, unless the court orders otherwise, you will also be liable for the costs which the defendant has incurred.
Is there anyway of finding out if they paid the correct fee yesterday? Would I have been copied into their correspondence? Will the courts provide an update if it has been struck out?
The trial date is 3rd April, so I'm trying to find out what's happening.
Thanks

Ring the court on Monday morning.1 -
I called the civil court before I posted on here, but got through to a national line with had a pre recorded message, which wasn't helpful. I'll try and find another number for the court for Monday.0

You could email the court, my Daughter did this last week to ask for permission for myself to be her Lay Rep, within an hour we got an email back informing us the Claimant hadn’t paid the hearing fee and the claim was struck out.3

Thanks, I've emailed.
Hoping for the same result you received!0 -
They've paid the trial fee looks like I'm going to Court. Better start swotting up again, as it's been so long since I submitted my defence.0
