Boiler pump replaced but keeps coming on when room temp already reached

So they replaced the Stat and now it seems ok, except theyve replaced it with one that has same programme for every day, not a different programme every day like I had before. Waiting on another appointment so they can "show me how to use it", even though I know how to use it and have done for 20 years. Probably was one he just had in his van but Im not prepared to accept it as its useless.2

Good result - that is surely the best cause. But, yes, unacceptable that they give you a lesser prog stat (it's a '2' and not the '3'?) If you require the 'daily' settings, then it isn't fit for your job. Just ask for the correct model, but expect to pay a little more for it.EDIT: What was your original model? How did you set the 'timings' on that one - on the 'stat, or on the boiler? And what's the new model?!0

I had one that could be programmed differently, on the stat, for different days. There should be no charge as its under British Gas Homecare so should be replaced like for like.1
