HSBC Global Money Account (Non Sterling Transactions)

Hi all,
I'm an HSBC bank account/ credit card holder
Last year when I went abroad, we were too late to renew our pre paid currency credit card which we'd used successfully abroad a few years previously, so I ended up paying for almost everything via my credit card.
I also have a subscription for an app on my phone that is US based.
In both instances, as well as the actual transaction I am charged a non sterling transaction fee.
As I will be heading abroad again next month and in February next year, I was wondering if the HSBC GMA will be something I could utilise or whether I should go and renew the pre paid credit card.
I have read the T&C and it does say no HSBC fees when I use an HSBC GMA debit card abroad, does this also include the non sterling transaction fee or will I still be charged for that?
Thanks for any responses in advance.

No fees whatsoever and I've found it works flawlessly while abroad - if you have £GBP in the Global Money Account it will automatically convert to the local currency at a pretty decent rate (albeit it uses a fairly rubbish generic exchange rate between Friday night - Monday morning while the financial markets are closed), or you can convert £GBP to the required currency at your leisure beforehand whenever you think the exchange rate is in your favour.1
