I have checked my credit report and note since the 1 November until today there have been over 40 soft searches from a company called JAJA finance. Most are quotation searches and one is AF?. However no hard search has been done. I do not understand why so many from the same same company.
Also I get my credit report from Clearscore and found I was locked out of it when I went to check it on Sunday 5 November. I managed to get back in but I am now concerned someone has assessed my credit file.
Yesterday I received a fake invoice for 249 dollars for Mcfee and the invoice was sent to the emails address that I use for my credit report.
Would a Cifas protective registration be an idea.?

I would change your password on your email and if able, set up two-factor authentication.
I use a password manager that is integrated to my web browser and an app on my phone which generates random alpha-numeric passwords and saves them along with me able to add notes/images to the password files stored.
If you genuinely haven't conducted any soft searches with JAJA i.e looking at eligibility checkers or have a current agreement with them whereby they have your permission to soft search every so often then I would first write to them (email) asking them to explain the soft searches in more detail.
If you're worried then getting protective status registered with CIFA's is not a bad idea at all.If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.
