    Thanks to all those that have contributed to the thread so far.

    Making another request before I go ahead and get a new ticket using the Barclays Cashback offer instead - has anyone successfully purchased a season ticket through the LNER website and received cashback from NatWest, virgin money, or RBS despite the three of them having clauses excluding season tickets from Cashback please?

    Can you not purchase a weekly or monthly ticket for your route and test it that way?

    Not really - I use a flexi season ticket as I’m not in all days on the week. So I could, but even without cashback it’d be worse value for money. It’d be a good idea if I used an annual season ticket though.

    I guess I’ll figure out whether an additional 1% is worth risking the whole lot for - tbh I doubt it - and then go with the cheapest overall option incl cashback
