What PVA mix for cement boards

We’ve just had a media wall built using cement boards as we intend to apply brick slips on it. Some of the boards were fitted with the ‘tile on this side’ reversed, so has a slightly rougher finish. What mix ratio of PVA should we use to prep it for the brick slips?

Personally, I'd recommend a primer such as BAL, or even SBR rather than PVA.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Thanks FreeBear, only reason I said PVA was the website I ordered the slips from had PVA listed in their ‘accessories’ section along with adhesive, mortar and 10mm spacers etc

SBR is better than PVA in areas likely to get slightly damp. If you do use PVA, a mix of 3 or 4/1 water/PVA.
