Hi there,
My partner recently received a letter from the Liquidators of ‘Live Life Protected Limited’ (company reg no. 04906681), stating that the company’s records indicate that he purchased life assurance through the company and may be entitled to claim a creditors dividend in the liquidation of the company, relating to a cash back bonus, if he can provide relevant information in a proof of debt form.

The ‘relevant date’ on the letter is 23 March 2016, which is the date of commencement of winding up of the company.
My partner cannot recall dealing directly with this company and has no paperwork referring to the company. He suspects this might be related to one of his pension schemes.
Would anyone have any knowledge of this company’s operations and the companies they might have partnered with, or have any ideas how we might be able to find information on this policy?
Thanks!

They didn't do pensions just Life and private medical insurance as a broker. They traded as Protected.co.uk and you can see their former website at https://web.archive.org/web/20150207002917/http://protected.co.uk/1

Hi, we have exactly the same letter. It states that we may have a claim. However, we need to provide original documentation to support any claim, which we don’t have. We do not recall ever dealing directly with LLP Ltd or protected.co.Uk. We do however currently pay into life insurance policies with both Zurich and aviva (are these connected in any way?). Can anyone advise best course of action to deal with the letter to submit a claim.1

Hi all, I received a letter too. My next step is to contact BDO LLP on Monday. It was sent to my old address so I’ve only just picked it up. I’ll update on here if I find out anything useful0
