Railway Bylaw APCOA Parking Fine

In mid June I received a parking fine for a car I am the registered keeper for that had been parked without a valid ticket. I followed advice on this site and waited as long as possible before appealing on multiple grounds, which was of course rejected. I then appealed to POPLA which was also rejected. It is now six weeks away from hitting the six month period. I have a few questions if anyone can help?

1. Are there any other delay tactics for this final period?
2. What if I am summoned to magistrate’s court? Has this ever happened?
3. After six months, how should I engage if I receive further letters? I heard that sometimes they try to switch to ‘contract law’ to claim against you - is that correct?

Thanks in advance.

Comments

  • Did you receive a Penalty Charge Notice or a Parking Charge Notice?

Have you read and digested the information on this in the Newbies/FAQ thread?

APCOA can't take you to "magistrates court". Only the TOC could so that and I would seriously doubt they would. It all depends on what sort of charge ou received... so please tell us.
